ESL-Library is a resource site for language teachers. We are owned and managed by Red River Press Inc, a little online publishing company with great big ambition.
We offer language teachers instant access to a huge collection of lesson plans and flashcards . Our site is set up as membership service. A paid membership gets teachers access to all of the content in the Lesson Plan Library and Flashcard Library sections.
We love what we do...
As a small company, it's a huge thrill for us to produce and publish ESL-Library.com. Our site is used by more than 25,000 language teachers in over 100 countries around the world. We have an incredible group of people working here, and a fantastic group of teachers who rely on us. This makes us very proud and very happy.
ESL Library is a perpetual work-in-progress. We're constantly trying to improve the site and add more value for teachers and students alike. We love ESL-Library, and hope you do too.
How many people work at ESL-Library?
There are 4 of us who manage the site. We all do a little of everything from marketing, to blogging, to answering the phones and emails. In addition to the site management, there are several wonderful writers and artists on contract with ESL-Library. Each month they work hard to write and produce new lessons and content for the site.
How long have we been in business?
We've been around since 2002. When we started, our name was ESL-Images.com because we focused more on flashcards than on lesson plans. But our lesson plan section kept growing and growing, and our members were making more use of the lessons than the flashcards. So in March 2007, we rebuilt our site, and put a greater focus on the lesson plan section. We changed our name to ESL-Library.com.
What else are we working on?
Though ESL-Library started as (and continues to be) a printable resource site for teachers, we are hard at work developing new online versions of our content, for students to access on their own. We have already produced seven successful iPhone applications for learning English. And we're now working to make those apps available on the site too. We have lots of great new features coming soon. Stay tuned...
